The prospects for regional collaboration to work on key challenges in Asian cocoa are examined. It is concluded that: (1) it is more efficient and cost-effective to find solutions to common problems in collaboration; (2) build on strengths of individual (national) organisations, combine areas of strengths in the region; (3) a similar approach is needed in IPM; and both Institutional and Technical aspects should be addressed.
