To share, meet and learn for sustainable cocoa

About

Cocoa CONNECT is a digital platform to share, meet and learn for sustainable cocoa. Cocoa CONNECT is a knowledge broker and provides space to learn in primarily three socio-economic domains of sustainable cocoa: farmers&production, chains&relations and markets&policies. In addition we connect visitors to cocoa knowledge and networks in the more technical knowledge domain under crops&soil.

Sharing knowledge is also preserving documents in an online repository

Our ideal is that you, the players in the field of sustainable cocoa, will help to build and extend the cocoa CONNECT community. That includes further development of our online accessible repository with interesting, relevant and topical resources on sustainable cocoa, to be uploaded by yourselves. We did the initial work and have been searching, and will continue to do so, for interesting publications, videos, presentations on the socio-economic domains of sustainable cocoa. We mainly search the web for this material and provide a link to its original source. For better, easy and permanent access we prefer to save publications in a digital format (e.g. PDF). And therefore we provide in most cases next to the link access to the PDFs as well, being it understood that most of these resources are online freely accessible to the public and with the assumption that authors/document owners would not object to have their publications permanently stored in a searchable database for sustainable cocoa. To the best of our knowledge, we are in this way sustainably sharing knowledge for sustainable cocoa. If, however, you do not agree with having your work stored in digital format in the cocoa CONNECT repository, please inform us so that we can jointly decide how to best refer to your work.

Cocoa CONNECT is owned by the Dutch ChocoworkGroup Sustainable Cocoa, and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An overview of all the participants of the ChocoworkGroup is presented below.

The Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) takes a leading role in the design of the platform and its content management. KIT facilitates exchange and learning on the platform.
