Mars

The Mars Center for Cocoa Science (MCCS) was created in 1982, located at the city of Barro Preto ( in Ilheus region), in Bahia – Brazil, in order to provide research services exclusively for Mars, Incorporated. Mars scientists study the biology, chemistry and genetics of cocoa as well as the propagation, fermentation, flavonoids and fat content of the cocoa bean.
